Charles Daybell : Photography and Design

I am a professional photographer specialising in exhibitions, fine art photography, design advice and commissions. My images are in both public and private collections.

Three very successful international exhibitions of my work have been shown in India - at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Delhi, at the Jaipur Heritage International Festival and at the British Council in New Delhi.

My first UK exhibition, described as "stunning", was held in Braintree in 2009 and an equally successful exhibition, entitled India Timelessness, was held at Patchings Gallery, Nottinghamshire in 2010.

My professional and creative work reflects themes of transition. Whilst every image, of a person or a space or event, is unique at a particular time I want the viewer to explore transitions in form, in texture and in time.

Assignments

I undertake a wide variety of commissions ranging from garden studies, architectural photography, interior design, landscape design and design advice, but my speciality with commissions is the contextual exploration of textures, form and colours. I primarily work towards exhibitions and the printing and selling of limited edition exhibition prints

Technical

Images are taken on Canon cameras and lenses. Processing is through Apple Mac computers using Photoshop. Images are printed on Epson professional printers to exhibition standards.
